Star Wars: Unlimited · 2025 Set Guide

Jump to Lightspeed Set Guide

The fourth Star Wars: Unlimited set took the game to space. Vehicle is on 102 of its cards, pilots ride in them as upgrades, and four leaders can deploy into a ship instead of onto the board.

Five Jump to Lightspeed Prestige cards fanned out: Annihilator, Fett's Firespray, The Ghost in front, Invincible and Executor.

Overview

Set code JTL
Cards 262, plus 4 tokens
Expansion The fourth
New keyword Piloting, and indirect damage

Jump to Lightspeed is the fourth Star Wars: Unlimited expansion and the first of 2025. It is the space set: Vehicle is on 102 of its cards, Fighter on 43 and Capital Ship on 24, and 91 of its 167 units fight in the space arena, the only set so far with more space units than ground ones.

Pilots are the theme. Pilot is on 51 cards, and the new Piloting keyword lets 39 units be played as an upgrade on a friendly Vehicle instead, for a second cost printed beside the keyword. Four leaders go further: Lando Calrissian, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Han Solo can deploy as an upgrade on one of your ships, which makes that ship a leader unit.

The set also brought indirect damage, on 21 cards. The player who takes it assigns it among their own bases and units, and it can't be prevented. It was the first set with Carbonite Edition packs, and its TIE Fighter and X-Wing tokens are new as well.

Cards and versions

Jump to Lightspeed has 262 cards. Each shows its set code, JTL, and its number along the bottom, and the set's other versions are numbered past the printed total.

Foil525 to 760236The Normal card in foil, numbered as its own printing, for every card except the leaders and the common bases.
Hyperspace Foil761 to 996236The Hyperspace version in foil, for the same cards.
Showcase997 to 101418One for each leader, in foil with new art.
Prestige1015 to 105036A shorter list of the set's units, each with new art. Carbonite packs only.
Prestige Foil1051 to 108636The same cards in foil. Carbonite packs only.
Prestige Serialized1087 to 112236The same cards again, individually numbered. Carbonite packs only.

Each version has its own collector number, which is how TurnZero HQ, the scanner and set completion tell them apart. Carbonite Edition packs, the publisher's premium booster, began with Jump to Lightspeed, and in 2025 every Prestige card came only from them, one in each pack. Serialized Prestige cards from these sets are numbered to 250, according to the publisher. The catalog lists 1130 printings of Jump to Lightspeed in all. Telling the versions apart →

Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set from 1 to its printed total and keeps the Hyperspace, Showcase and Prestige versions apart as extras, so finishing the set and chasing its versions read as two separate goals. How set completion works →

Leaders

All 18 leaders pair a main aspect with Heroism or Villainy. Four of them can deploy as a pilot, flipping onto a friendly Vehicle as an upgrade rather than entering play as a unit. Four to know:

Bases

Thirteen bases. The eight commons have 30 HP and no ability. The five rares bend the deck rules instead: Colossus has 35 HP and costs you a card in your opening hand, Data Vault has 33 HP and raises your minimum deck size by 10, Thermal Oscillator has 27 HP and lowers it by 5, and Nabat Village draws you 3 extra cards, with no mulligan, and has you put 3 back. Lake Country has 34 HP and no aspect at all.

Piloting and indirect damage

A unit with Piloting has a second cost printed beside the keyword. Pay it and the card goes onto a friendly Vehicle without a Pilot as an upgrade, and the Vehicle gains what the card's text gives it. Interceptor Ace, for example, is a 3-cost 2/3 unit, or for 3 an upgrade that gives a ship Grit.

Indirect damage is dealt to a player rather than a unit or base, and that player assigns it among their own bases and units. It can't be prevented. Planetary Bombardment deals 8 of it, or 12 if you control a Capital Ship.

Cards worth knowing

The set's most valuable Normal cards on September 30, a fair sign of what players kept:

The chase card: Grand Admiral Thrawn

Version Showcase
Card number JTL 998
Market price, September 30, 2026 $191.26
Artist Reno

The Showcase Grand Admiral Thrawn, ...How Unfortunate was the most valuable card in Jump to Lightspeed without a serial number, at $191.26 on September 30, 2026. Boba Fett was second at $151.00 and Darth Vader, Victor Squadron Leader third at $135.27.

Thrawn's leader is a Common. Showcase prices follow which characters people want, not the leader's rarity, and the 18 Showcase leaders ranged from $24.27 to Thrawn at the top.

The same leader was $0.10 as a Normal card and $0.12 in Hyperspace.

Chase cards and prices

Jump to Lightspeed's eight most valuable cards that aren't serialized are all Showcase leaders. Its five most valuable serialized Prestige cards are all ships.

Serialized Prestige cards

A serialized card's market price comes from a handful of numbered copies changing hands, so one sale can move it a long way. Treat these as a sign of where the money is rather than a price you can count on.

These are each card's TCGplayer market price on September 30, 2026. Prices for a new set can move a long way in its first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for Normal and Foil and its price chart. How card prices work →

Playing it

Count your Vehicles before you count your pilots. A Piloting card with no ship to ride is just a unit, so a deck that wants pilots needs enough Vehicles to put them on, and the pilot leaders need one in play to deploy onto.

Indirect damage rewards going wide on defense: the player taking it chooses where it lands, so a board of small units can soak it, and a lone big unit or an empty board sends it to the base.
