Heroines Edition Set Guide

Overview

Extra Booster: One Piece Heroines Edition is the third extra booster and the smallest set of the year: 62 card numbers, EB03-001 to EB03-062, against 119 or 120 in a main set. Nearly all of its Characters are the series' women, across all six colors; the clearest exception is the Secret Rare Trafalgar Law (EB03-062).

It has a single Leader, Nefeltari Vivi, so the set is mostly cards for decks led from other sets. Many of its Characters check for a Leader by name or type, such as Uta wanting an Uta Leader or Vinsmoke Reiju wanting Sanji.

It also has no Uncommons. Its base printings are Commons, Rares, Super Rares, two Secret Rares and the Leader.

TCGplayer lists 104 printings in Heroines Edition. 64 are base printings, the version of each card number with no special art, and the other 40 are special printings of those numbers and the set's DON!! cards.

Special printings

The rarity counts above are the 64 base printings. Unlike a main set's SP cards, which are mostly older card numbers, all nine SP cards here are EB03 numbers. The Leader

Nefeltari Vivi is the only Leader, blue and red with 4 Life.

Nami

Super Rare. Gives your Leader a rested DON!!, and moves one of your opponent's Life cards to their hand while they have 3 or more.

Nico Robin

Super Rare. With a Straw Hat Crew Leader, trash your top Life card to add two cards from your deck to your Life.

Uta

EB03-061

Secret Rare. Once per turn, sets a DON!! active and rests an opponent's DON!! or cost 4 or less Character.

Nefeltari Vivi

EB03-024

Super Rare. A Blocker that plays an Alabasta or Straw Hat Crew Character of cost 5 or less from your hand.

The SP Nico Robin is Heroines Edition's chase card, at $1,472.79 on September 30. It is a close race: the SP Boa Hancock (EB03-026) was $1,421.01 and the SP Nami (EB03-053) $1,269.26, so three different SP cards from one extra booster sold for more than $1,200 each.

The same card number is in the set three times. The base Nico Robin was $8.16 and its Alternate Art $45.18.

Chase cards and prices

Seven of the eight most valuable printings are SP cards. The other is the Manga Uta, the set's only Manga.

Playing it

With one Leader, Heroines Edition mostly adds to decks you already have. Read each Character's conditions before you build around it: Uta (EB03-003) needs an Uta Leader to draw, Vinsmoke Reiju needs Sanji, and Koala (EB03-042) gains cost with a Revolutionary Army Leader.

Vivi's Leader suits a deck of larger Characters, since her protection only covers a base cost of 4 or more.
