Fusion Strike is the eighth Sword & Shield expansion: 264 cards up to the printed total and 20 secret rares above it (265 to 284), the most cards of any set in the series.

It added a third style, Fusion Strike, beside Single Strike and Rapid Strike. Mew VMAX's Cross Fusion Strike uses the attacks of your Benched Fusion Strike Pokémon, and Fusion Strike Energy, Power Tablet and Cross Switcher support it. Most of the set's value sits in a few alternate-art VMAX: the top three cards are 72% of the total.

Cards and rarities

Fusion Strike has 284 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "001/264", next to the set code FST.

The printed total is 264, so the 20 cards from 265 to 284 are secret rares. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. How set completion works →

What a complete set costs

One copy of every card in Fusion Strike, bought as singles, cost $2,230.35 on October 22, 2026. That is the third most expensive of the seventeen sets in the Sword & Shield series.

Complete set $2,230.35
Main set, 001 to 264 $427.30
20 secret rares $1,803.05
Top three cards $1,603.06 (72%)

The three most valuable cards, Gengar VMAX, Espeon VMAX and Mew VMAX, come to $1,603.06, or 72% of the total. Without them the set costs $627.29. Of the 284 cards, 244 were under $2.00, together $65.45; the other 40 add up to $2,164.90.

Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.

Playing it

Fusion Strike cards carry the D and E regulation marks, and Standard has allowed only H, I and J since April 10, 2026, so none is Standard-legal as printed, apart from its basic Energy cards. Every card in Fusion Strike is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on.

A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
