Star Wars: Unlimited · 2026 Set Guide
The year's second main set picks up after Return of the Jedi: Imperial remnants, the Mandalorians and the New Republic, with a new keyword, Support, on 27 cards.
Ashes of the Empire is the eighth Star Wars: Unlimited expansion. It is set in the years after the Battle of Endor, when the Empire breaks into warlords and the New Republic tries to hold the galaxy together, so its leaders come from The Mandalorian, Ahsoka and the stories around them: The Armorer, Bo-Katan Kryze, Moff Gideon, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Baylan Skoll and Grogu.
Mandalorian is the trait the set is built around, on 34 of its cards, with Imperial on 44 and Vehicle on 58. Mandalorian decks also get their own token, a Mandalorian unit that enters with a Shield.
The set adds a keyword and a token. Support lets a unit lend its abilities to another unit's attack, and the Advantage token, which 38 cards hand out, is a one-attack boost that falls off once the unit's attack or defense ends.
Ashes of the Empire has 264 cards. Each shows its set code, ASH, and its number along the bottom, and the set's other versions are numbered past the printed total.
The printed total is 264. The Mandalorian, Advantage and Shield tokens are numbered apart, T01 to T03.
Each version has its own collector number, which is how TurnZero HQ, the scanner and set completion tell them apart. Foil and serialized Prestige cards come only from Carbonite Edition packs, the publisher's premium booster, which also guarantees one Prestige card a pack. From A Lawless Time on, most serialized Prestige cards are numbered to 250, some to 100 and a few to 50, according to the publisher. The catalog lists 931 printings of Ashes of the Empire in all. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set from 1 to its printed total and keeps the Hyperspace, Showcase and Prestige versions apart as extras, so finishing the set and chasing its versions read as two separate goals. How set completion works →
There are 18 leaders, from the Mandalorian clans to the last of the Empire. These four show the set's range:
The Mandalorian, We Can't Keep Running
Ashes of the Empire #014
Pays 1 to draw a card when you take the initiative, and has Support once deployed.
The Armorer, Steel Shapes Us
Ashes of the Empire #001
Plays upgrades from among your resources, then resources the top card of your deck to replace them.
Bo-Katan Kryze, Reclaiming Mandalore
Ashes of the Empire #010
Makes Mandalorian tokens while you have a unit in each arena, and counts Mandalorian units toward her deploy.
Emperor Palpatine, According to My Design
Ashes of the Empire #015
Gives an exhausted unit an Advantage token for each other friendly unit.
Eight bases, two in each aspect, all Common with 30 HP and no ability of their own. With no rare bases in the set, the choice between them is which aspect you need.
| Base | World | Aspect | HP | Rarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fortress of the Great Mothers | Peridea | Vigilance | 30 | Common |
| Nevarro City, Restored | Nevarro | Vigilance | 30 | Common |
| Emperor's Throne Room | Death Star | Command | 30 | Common |
| Kryze Castle | Kalevala | Command | 30 | Common |
| Ancient Henge | Seatos | Aggression | 30 | Common |
| Dragonsnake Bog | Dagobah | Aggression | 30 | Common |
| Emperor's Observatory | Pillio | Cunning | 30 | Common |
| Freetown | Tatooine | Cunning | 30 | Common |
Support is the set's new keyword, on 27 cards. When you play a unit with Support, you may attack with another unit, and that unit gains the Support unit's other abilities for the attack. On a leader it triggers when the leader deploys. Grand Admiral Thrawn, for example, lends the attacker his "When Attack Ends: If the defending unit was defeated, ready this unit."
The Advantage token is an upgrade that is defeated when the attached unit's attack or defense ends. It is a boost for one fight, and Emperor Palpatine's leader hands out one for each other unit you control.
The Legendary rares again carry the set's power. These were its most valuable Normal versions on September 30:
Chimaera, A Frightening Reality
Ashes of the Empire #052
When played, defeats a friendly unit and an enemy non-leader unit, then heals your base 2 whenever an enemy unit is defeated.
Pre Vizsla, Strong-Willed Ruler
Ashes of the Empire #053
Defeats non-leader units with up to 6 total remaining HP and makes a Mandalorian token for each.
Ninth Sister, Hulking Inquisitor
Ashes of the Empire #148
An 8/7 with Overwhelm that makes an opponent discard, then divides damage equal to the discarded card's cost.
The Mandalorian, Devoted Rescuer
Ashes of the Empire #062
Shielded, and can spend his Shield to prevent damage to another friendly unit.
The Showcase Luke Skywalker, I Can Save Him was the most valuable card in Ashes of the Empire that isn't serialized, at $351.57 on September 30. It was only $11 ahead of the Showcase Ahsoka Tano, Trust in the Force ($340.47), with Cad Bane, Still Faster Than You third at $315.51.
As in A Lawless Time, all 18 Showcase leaders were worth real money, from $88.98 for Baylan Skoll to Luke at the top.
The same leader was $4.46 as a Normal card, the most valuable Normal leader in any 2026 set, and $0.50 in Hyperspace.
| Version | Number | Market price, September 30, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 005 | $4.46 |
| Hyperspace | 269 | $0.50 |
| Showcase | 771 | $351.57 |
Only the exact version is worth its price, and the collector number at the bottom of the card tells you which one you have. Reading the card number →
Ashes of the Empire's ten most valuable cards that aren't serialized are all Showcase leaders. Its most valuable Normal card, Chimaera, was $41.59, more than any Normal card in A Lawless Time or 2026 Twin Suns.
| Card | Version | Market price, September 30, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Luke Skywalker, I Can Save Him | Showcase | $351.57 |
| Ahsoka Tano, Trust in the Force | Showcase | $340.47 |
| Cad Bane, Still Faster Than You | Showcase | $315.51 |
| The Mandalorian, We Can't Keep Running | Showcase | $270.29 |

| Grand Admiral Thrawn, Victory is Mine | Showcase | $185.00 |
| Shin Hati, Eager Adversary | Showcase | $173.59 |
A serialized card's market price comes from a handful of numbered copies changing hands, so one sale can move it a long way. Treat these as a sign of where the money is rather than a price you can count on.
| Card | Market price, September 30, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Eye of Sion, Delivered from Exile | $960.00 |
| The Darksaber, Icon of Leadership | $840.00 |
| Grogu, Yes. Yes. Yes. | $699.99 |
| The Mandalorian, Devoted Rescuer | $600.00 |
| Marrok, Mysterious Warrior | $496.64 |
These are each card's TCGplayer market price on September 30, 2026. Prices for a new set can move a long way in its first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for Normal and Foil and its price chart. How card prices work →
Support rewards a board that already has units on it. A Support unit played onto an empty board has nobody to lend its abilities to, so the keyword fits decks that go wide, and Mandalorian tokens are one way to get there.
Every base in the set has 30 HP and no ability, three more HP than A Lawless Time's common bases. That makes them a safe default for a slower deck that would rather have the HP than an Epic Action.
July 17, 2026. It is the eighth Star Wars: Unlimited expansion.
When you play a unit with Support, you may attack with another unit, and it gains the Support unit's other abilities for that attack. A leader with Support uses it when it deploys.
Among cards that aren't serialized, the Showcase Luke Skywalker, I Can Save Him, at $351.57 on September 30, 2026. The serialized Prestige Eye of Sion was listed at $960, but a numbered card's price rests on very few sales.
264, numbered 001 to 264, plus three tokens. Counting every Hyperspace, Showcase and Prestige version, the catalog lists 931 printings.
