Star Wars: Unlimited · 2026 Set Guide

Homeworlds Set Guide

The year's last main set goes planet by planet. Its 16 bases sit on four homeworlds, cards check which one you chose, and Fortify puts upgrades on a base for the first time.

Five Homeworlds Prestige cards fanned out: Maul, General Grievous, Chewbacca in front, Emperor Palpatine and Luke Skywalker.

Overview

Release date October 9, 2026
Set code HMW
Cards 272, plus 5 tokens
Expansion The ninth
New keyword Fortify, and Weakness and Beast tokens

Homeworlds is the ninth Star Wars: Unlimited expansion, out October 9, 2026. Its theme is in the bases: there are 16, four on each of Tatooine, Naboo, Kashyyyk and Endor, and a run of cards does more if your base is on a particular world. Giant Gorax wants an Endor base, Origin Tree Shyyyo a Kashyyyk one.

The set leans on creatures and the people who live on those worlds. Creature is on 38 cards and Wookiee on 13, beside Ewoks on 11, Gungans on 10 and Tusken Raiders on 9. Grand Moff Tarkin and Chewbacca are its two Special leaders, and Tarkin's other side is The Death Star.

Three things are new. Fortify is a keyword for upgrades that attach to your base instead of a unit. The Weakness token is an upgrade that, as the publisher describes it, works as the reverse of an Experience token, giving -1/-1. The Beast token is a unit.

Cards and versions

Homeworlds has 272 cards. Each shows its set code, HMW, and its number along the bottom, and the set's other versions are numbered past the printed total.

RarityCardsWhat they are
Common123Including all 16 bases.
Uncommon61
Rare58Including 8 of the leaders.
Legendary20The set's headline units.
Special10Cards with their own rarity, among them Grand Moff Tarkin and Chewbacca as leaders.

The printed total is 272, eight more than the year's other two main sets, and it has more bases than either. The Shield, Weakness and three Beast tokens are numbered apart, T01 to T05.

Every version of a card

VersionNumbersCardsWhat it is
Normal1 to 272272The set itself, the card everybody opens.
Hyperspace273 to 544272Every card again with Hyperspace art past the frame.
Hyperspace Foil545 to 782238The Hyperspace version in foil, for every card except the leaders and the common bases.
Showcase783 to 80018One for each leader, in foil with new art.
Prestige801 to 84848A shorter list of the set's cards, each with new art.
Prestige Foil849 to 89648The same cards in foil. Carbonite packs only.
Prestige Serialized897 to 94448The same cards again, individually numbered. Carbonite packs only.

Each version has its own collector number, which is how TurnZero HQ, the scanner and set completion tell them apart. Foil and serialized Prestige cards come only from Carbonite Edition packs, the publisher's premium booster, which also guarantees one Prestige card a pack. From A Lawless Time on, most serialized Prestige cards are numbered to 250, some to 100 and a few to 50, according to the publisher. The catalog lists 954 printings of Homeworlds in all. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set from 1 to its printed total and keeps the Hyperspace, Showcase and Prestige versions apart as extras, so finishing the set and chasing its versions read as two separate goals. How set completion works →

Leaders

There are 18 leaders. Grand Moff Tarkin is the one the set is built to show off: he ignores the aspect penalty on Fortify upgrades, and his deployed side, The Death Star, can defeat a base with 10 or less HP left at the start of the regroup phase. Four of them:

Bases

Sixteen bases, one for every pairing of the four homeworlds with the four main aspects. All are Common with 30 HP and no ability of their own; what changes is the world, which other cards in the set check.

Fortify, Weakness and Beast tokens

Fortify is on 15 upgrades, and it means what its reminder text says: attach this to your base, not a unit. Alliance Shield Generator prevents a hit of 5 or more damage to your base, then is defeated and draws you a card; Dark Sanctum draws you a card each regroup phase at the cost of 2 damage to your base.

Weakness tokens appear on 24 cards. Emperor Palpatine, Consolidating Power takes control of a cheap enemy unit and gives it two of them. Beast tokens are units, made by 21 cards, among them The Great Progenitor, which makes one for each Weakness token on itself.

Chase cards and prices

Homeworlds releases on October 9, after the September 30 prices the other guides use. Its listings then were presale placeholders, mostly a flat $30 on each Legendary, so this guide gives no prices until the set has been open long enough for real ones. The 18 Showcase leaders, numbered 783 to 800, are where the money has been in both of 2026's other main sets.

Playing it

Pick the base for its world before its aspect. Every base in the set has the same 30 HP and no ability, so the only thing separating, say, Mos Eisley from Otoh Gunga is that one is on Tatooine and the other on Naboo, and which of your cards care.

Fortify gives slower decks something to do with a base besides protect it. A Tarkin deck is the clearest case, since his leader side removes the aspect penalty on every Fortify upgrade you play.
