Pokémon TCG · 2019 Set Guide
The set that introduced TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX, worth three Prize cards each. Its alternate full-art Latias & Latios-GX alone costs more than most whole Sun & Moon sets.
Team Up is the ninth Sun & Moon expansion: 181 cards up to the printed total and 15 secret rares above it (182 to 196).
It introduced TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX: Pikachu & Zekrom-GX, Gengar & Mimikyu-GX, Latias & Latios-GX, Eevee & Snorlax-GX and more. Each is a Basic Pokémon with high HP that gives up three Prize cards when Knocked Out. Several are printed twice at Rare Ultra, once as a regular full art and once as an alternate full art, and those alternate arts are where the set's value is.
Team Up has 196 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "1/181", next to the set code TEU.
The printed total is 181, so the 15 cards from 182 to 196 are secret rares. The catalog also files two more cards under this set with a letter after the number: Pokémon Communication (152a) and Pokémon Communication (152b). Each is an alternate printing outside the numbered set, so they aren't counted here. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. How set completion works →
TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX are Basic Pokémon with two or three Pokémon on one card; each gives up three Prize cards when Knocked Out, and some GX attacks do more if you pay extra Energy. Three of this set's:

These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. How Pokémon card prices work →
One copy of every card in Team Up, bought as singles, cost $12,420.09 on October 22, 2026. That is the most expensive of the sixteen sets in the Sun & Moon series.
The three most valuable cards, Latias & Latios-GX, Gengar & Mimikyu-GX and Magikarp & Wailord-GX, come to $7,559.35, or 61% of the total. Without them the set costs $4,860.74. Of the 196 cards, 129 were under $2.00, together $55.83; the other 67 add up to $12,364.26.
Left out: two alternate printings the catalog files under this set with a letter after the number, Pokémon Communication (152a) and Pokémon Communication (152b). They aren't part of the numbered 196.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
No Team Up card carries a regulation mark, so none is Standard-legal as printed. Standard has allowed only the H, I and J marks since April 10, 2026. Every card in Team Up is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on.
A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
February 1, 2019. Its set code is TEU.
