Pokémon TCG · 2019 Set Guide
The second TAG TEAM set, with Reshiram & Charizard-GX, Pheromosa & Buzzwole-GX and Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX, and the Supporter Welder. Its alternate full-art Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX leads by a wide margin.
Unbroken Bonds is the tenth Sun & Moon expansion: 214 cards up to the printed total and 20 secret rares above it (215 to 234).
It added seven TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX, Reshiram & Charizard-GX and Greninja & Zoroark-GX among them, several again with alternate full arts. Welder, Green's Exploration and Red's Challenge are among its Supporters, and Lt. Surge's Strategy, Mismagius and Chip-Chip Ice Axe from this set are on the Expanded banned list.
Unbroken Bonds has 234 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "1/214", next to the set code UNB.
The printed total is 214, so the 20 cards from 215 to 234 are secret rares. The catalog also files four more cards under this set with a letter after the number: Pokégear 3.0 (182a), Pokégear 3.0 (182b), Welder (189a) and Dedenne-GX (195a). Each is an alternate printing outside the numbered set, so they aren't counted here. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. How set completion works →
TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX are Basic Pokémon with two or three Pokémon on one card; each gives up three Prize cards when Knocked Out, and some GX attacks do more if you pay extra Energy. Three of this set's:
Reshiram & Charizard-GX
Unbroken Bonds #20
270 HP TAG TEAM. Flare Strike does 230, and it can't use Flare Strike on your next turn; Outrage adds 10 for each of its damage counters.
Greninja & Zoroark-GX
Unbroken Bonds #107
250 HP TAG TEAM. Dark Pulse does 30 plus 30 for each Darkness Energy attached to all of your Pokémon.
Dedenne-GX
Unbroken Bonds #57
160 HP. Dedechange: when you play it onto your Bench, you may discard your hand and draw 6 cards.
Two Supporters, both also printed as full arts:

These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. How Pokémon card prices work →
One copy of every card in Unbroken Bonds, bought as singles, cost $4,138.46 on October 22, 2026. That is the fourth most expensive of the sixteen sets in the Sun & Moon series.
The three most valuable cards, Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX, Greninja & Zoroark-GX and Reshiram & Charizard-GX, come to $1,311.72, or 32% of the total. Without them the set costs $2,826.74. Of the 233 cards, 158 were under $2.00, together $66.85; the other 75 add up to $4,071.61.
One card had no TCGplayer price on file and isn't counted: Fairy Charm Lightning.
Left out: four alternate printings the catalog files under this set with a letter after the number, Pokégear 3.0 (182a), Pokégear 3.0 (182b), Welder (189a) and Dedenne-GX (195a). They aren't part of the numbered 234.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
No Unbroken Bonds card carries a regulation mark, so none is Standard-legal as printed. Standard has allowed only the H, I and J marks since April 10, 2026. Unbroken Bonds is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on, except for Mismagius (78/214), Chip-Chip Ice Axe (165/214) and Lt. Surge's Strategy (178/214), on the Expanded banned list.
A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
May 3, 2019. Its set code is UNB.
234. The printed total is 214, and the 20 cards numbered above it are secret rares.
The Rare Ultra Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX (205/214), at $708.55 on October 22, 2026, ahead of the Rare Ultra Greninja & Zoroark-GX (201/214) at $354.92. Prices move daily, so check each card's page for the current figure.
