Disney Lorcana · Set 3 Starter Deck
Pongo and Peter Pan lead a wide deck of cheap puppies and Lost Boys that quest at locations.
Amber & Emerald · Go wide with locations
This deck goes wide. Cheap characters fill the board, locations give them somewhere to quest for extra lore, and Lucky turns a big board into a big lore turn. Pongo keeps your hand full of more characters.
It's easy to play and fast. Its weakness is anything that hits every character at once: a sweeper like Grab Your Sword can undo several turns of work.
Pongo - Determined Father
Into the Inklands #19
Once a turn, pay 2 to reveal the top card and take it if it's a character.
Peter Pan - Lost Boy Leader
Into the Inklands #82
Once a turn, gain lore equal to a location's lore when he moves there.
Dalmatian Puppy - Tail Wagger
Into the Inklands #4a
You can run up to 99 copies, and the box has a stack of them.
Lucky - The 15th Puppy
Into the Inklands #8
With 4 or more other characters, your other characters get +1 lore when he quests.
Pluto - Determined Defender
Into the Inklands #17
A Bodyguard that heals 3 damage from himself each turn.
Fast and simple, and the locations add lore quickly, but it's fragile against board sweepers.
Both numbers are TurnZero HQ's own editorial read, not an official Ravensburger rating. Power compares the deck out of the box against the other starter decks, not against a tuned tournament list. Difficulty is how much the deck asks of the person playing it.
Cut the weakest locations and anything that costs 5 or more and doesn't add lore. The deck wants to be low to the ground.
A Lorcana deck needs at least 60 cards, no more than 4 copies of a card with the same full name, and at most two inks, so every card you add means one you take out. The deck building rules →
Amber and Emerald still has the best go-wide cards. Cheap characters that reward having several others in play turn the deck's plan into card draw and removal.
Elinor needs 3 or more exerted characters at the end of your turn, which this deck has most turns after questing.
Elinor - Renowned Diplomat
Wilds Unknown #86
With 3 or more exerted characters at your end of turn: 1 damage, 1 lore and a card.
Pongo - Determined Father
Fabled #2
The Fabled reprint of the box's Pongo, legal in Core.
Grandmother Willow - Ancient Advisor
Winterspell #13
Makes a character a turn cheaper.
Mulan - Resourceful Recruit
Winterspell #69
Quests for lore equal to her strength, and Amber and Emerald can pump it.
Keep the location plan with newer locations and characters that make moving there pay off.
Paradise Falls - Exotic Destination
Attack of the Vine! #108
+3 lore while you have a character there.
Pluto - Determined Defender
Fabled #14
The Fabled reprint: a Bodyguard to guard your location questers.
Woody & Buzz Lightyear - Best Buddies
Attack of the Vine! #28
A dual-ink Amber and Emerald 3-lore character that plays a cheap card for free when it quests.
Mike Wazowski - Heroic Climber
Attack of the Vine! #18
Reveals the top card for characters when played and when he quests.
As of October 2026, this deck is not legal in Core Constructed as sold, because Core uses sets 9 (Fabled) onward. A card counts as Core-legal when any printing with its full name is, so the cards from this box that were reprinted in Fabled or later can still be played there. The whole deck is legal in Infinity Constructed, which allows every set, and at any kitchen table.
Every upgrade pick on this page is from set 9 or later, so all of them are Core-legal. Core Constructed vs. Infinity →

Up to 99 copies of Dalmatian Puppy - Tail Wagger, as its own text says. Every other card follows the normal limit of 4 copies of a full name.
Yes. It's one of the easiest starters to pilot, and locations are a mechanic worth learning early.
Add the deck to the Deck Lab, make your swaps, and it checks the list against Core Constructed or Infinity as you go. Publish it to share the link. Free to start.
