The chase card in each set

Every set has one printing its collectors open packs for. These are each set's most valuable cards on September 30, 2026, so a 2025 card and a 2026 card can be compared directly.

The guides

Supreme Darkness (January 23, 2025). The first core booster set of 2025: 101 new cards, with Mitsurugi and Evil HERO as the biggest themes and Paladins of Bonds and Unity as the chase.

Structure Deck: Blue-Eyes White Destiny (February 13, 2025). A Structure Deck built around Blue-Eyes White Dragon, with eight new cards. Three Quarter Century Secret Rares carry nearly all of its value.

Maze of the Master (March 13, 2025). A booster set with Rare as its base rarity and Collector's Rares near the top. Its 59 new cards support themes such as Temple of the Kings, Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon and the A-to-Z Union monsters, and the rest are reprints going back to 2005.

Quarter Century Stampede (April 10, 2025). A 296-code reprint set where every card was printed before. Its value sits in the Quarter Century Secret Rares, led by Diabellstar the Black Witch.

Alliance Insight (May 1, 2025). The second core booster set of 2025: 100 new cards, with Regenesis and Mitsurugi as the biggest themes and a Quarter Century Secret Rare Dark Magician Girl the Magician's Apprentice as the chase.

Duelist's Advance (July 3, 2025). A 48-card set made entirely of new monsters, with Artmage, Lunalight and Psychic monsters as its biggest themes and a Starlight Rare Medius the Pure as the chase.

Justice Hunters (July 31, 2025). A 60-card booster set with Rare as its base rarity and Collector's Rares and Starlight Rares at the top. Its 33 new cards are three themes of eleven, Dracotail, Yummy and K9, and the rest are reprints.

Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem (August 28, 2025). A 177-card set with no card below Ultra Rare, most of it reprints. Its 43 new cards include small groups for Fabled, Jurrac, Gem-Knight, Nekroz, Dragonmaid, P.U.N.K. and Orcust, and the Starlight Rare Blue-Eyes White Dragon is the chase.

2025 Mega-Pack Tin (September 4, 2025). A 450-card tin set made almost entirely of reprints, most of them first released in 2024 sets. Every card comes at one rarity, and the Prismatic Secret Rare Dominus Impulse is the chase.

Doom of Dimensions (September 25, 2025). The last core booster set of 2025: 101 cards, all but one of them new, with Radiant Typhoon, DoomZ and D/D as the biggest themes. Its top eight printings are all Starlight Rares, and less than $15 separates them.

The Chronicles Deck: The Fallen & The Virtuous (October 24, 2025). A 50-card all-foil deck built around Fallen of Albaz, Branded and Dogmatika. Two cards are new, and four Starlight Rares carry nearly all of its value.

Legendary 5D's Decks (November 6, 2025). Three decks in one set, built around Black Rose Dragon, Blackwing and Synchron. All eight new cards are in the Synchron deck, and the most valuable card is a Common.

Phantom Revenge (December 4, 2025). A 60-card booster set with Rare as its base rarity, Collector's Rares and Starlight Rares. It introduces Hecahands, Enneacraft and Kewl Tune, with eleven cards each, and reprints cards that suit them.

The top rarities in 2025

A Yu-Gi-Oh! card's rarity is in its foil, not in a printed symbol, and one set code can be printed at several rarities. 2025 is the year the top rarity changed. Quarter Century Secret Rare is in every set through Alliance Insight and in none after it, and Starlight Rare is in most of the sets from Duelist's Advance on. Reading the foil →

Prize packs and promotions

Prize packs and promotional cards are given out at events or with other products rather than sold as a set, so they have no guide here. TurnZero HQ's catalog and set completion still cover them.
