Pokémon TCG · 2006 Set Guide
Delta Species Pokémon fill most of it, and its Gold Stars, Mewtwo ★ and Pikachu ★, are among the most expensive cards of the EX series.
Holon Phantoms came out on May 1, 2006, with 111 cards: 91 Pokémon, 9 Trainers and 11 Energy. Fifty of its Pokémon are Delta Species, and its three Pokémon-ex are Mew ex, Crawdaunt ex and Mightyena ex.
Its Pokémon Stars are Gyarados ★ δ, Mewtwo ★ and Pikachu ★, numbered 102 to 104 within the printed total of 110, and a secret Mew is 111. Its Energy includes δ Rainbow Energy, which provides every type only on a Delta Species Pokémon.
Holon Phantoms has 111 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "4/110". The cards print a set symbol, not a set code; the code here is the short one the catalog and TurnZero HQ file the set under.
The printed total is 110. The three Pokémon Stars are 102 to 104, inside it, and Mew, 111/110, is the one secret rare. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. Two Gold Stars and a Delta Species holo:
Mewtwo ★
Holon Phantoms #103
One Pokémon Star per deck. Psychic Star does 100 to an evolved Pokémon, discarding its Energy.
Pikachu ★
Holon Phantoms #104
One Pokémon Star per deck. Spring Back does 70 when your opponent has 1 Prize card left.
Rayquaza δ
Holon Phantoms #16
Water and Metal. Delta Search attaches a Holon Energy from your deck; Hydro Barrier removes your Water Pokémon's Weakness.
A Holon Supporter and the δ Energy:
Holon Phantoms' chase card is Mewtwo ★, 103/110, illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, listed at $9,200.00 as last read on October 18, 2026.
Pikachu ★ was $6,997.84 on October 22, 2026. Together the two make up most of what a complete set costs (see below), so the set's value turns on two cards that seldom change hands ungraded.
Mewtwo ★ is printed once in the set.
Only the exact version is worth its price. The number at the bottom of the card and the rarity symbol beside it tell you which one you pulled. Reading the number and rarity symbol →
Three Gold Stars, then Rayquaza δ, Mew ex and the secret Mew, priced as holofoil copies. The price for Mewtwo ★ (October 18) is the last the catalog read before October 22, 2026.
| Card | Rarity | Market price, October 22, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Mewtwo ★ | Rare Holo Star | $9,200.00 on Oct 18 |
| Pikachu ★ | Rare Holo Star | $6,997.84 |
| Gyarados ★ δ | Rare Holo Star | $1,300.35 |
| Rayquaza δ | Rare Holo | $631.22 |
| Mew ex | Rare Holo EX | $525.31 |
| Mew | Rare Secret | $335.54 |
These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026, except where a row gives an earlier day because the catalog had no newer price. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. One copy of every card in Holon Phantoms, bought as singles, cost $20,873.67 on October 22, 2026. That is the third most expensive of the sixteen sets in the EX series.
The three most valuable cards, Mewtwo ★, Pikachu ★ and Gyarados ★ δ, come to $17,498.19, or 84% of the total. Without them the set costs $3,375.48. Of the 111 cards, 45 were under $2.00, together $39.42; the other 66 add up to $20,834.25.
One card's price is older than October 22, 2026, because the catalog had no newer one: Mewtwo ★ (103), $9,200.00 on October 18. It is counted at that price.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, usually a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil, or a stamped promo copy where the catalog prices one lower, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
Holon Phantoms is not legal in Standard or Expanded as a set: Expanded starts with the Black & White series in 2011. The catalog marks seven of its 111 cards as legal anyway, seven of them in Standard too.
They are the six basic Energy, which are always legal; and Rare Candy, legal in both formats.
That card shares its name and text with a later, legal printing, which is what makes an older copy playable. Every other card in the set is legal in neither format.
May 1, 2006. It was the 13th set of the EX series.
111. The printed total is 110, and Mew is numbered 111/110.
Mewtwo ★ (103/110), listed at $9,200.00 as last read on October 18, 2026, ahead of Pikachu ★ at $6,997.84. Few copies trade, so check each card's page.
Pikachu ★, 104/110 in Holon Phantoms: a Pokémon Star, limited to one Pokémon Star per deck. It was listed at $6,997.84 on October 22, 2026.
