Pokémon TCG · 2006 Set Guide
Gold Star versions of the three Regis, seven Pokémon-ex including Mew ex, and five Stadiums.
Legend Maker came out on February 1, 2006, with 93 cards: 82 Pokémon, 9 Trainers and 2 special Energy. Its Pokémon Stars are Regice ★, Regirock ★ and Registeel ★, numbered 90 to 92 within the printed total, and its seven Pokémon-ex include Mew ex, Arcanine ex and Flygon ex.
Five of its nine Trainers are Stadiums, and three are the fossils, so the set has a single Supporter, Fieldworker. The printed total is 92, and a secret Pikachu δ is 93.
Legend Maker has 93 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "4/92". The cards print a set symbol, not a set code; the code here is the short one the catalog and TurnZero HQ file the set under.
The printed total is 92. The three Pokémon Stars are 90 to 92, inside it, and Pikachu δ, 93/92, is the one secret rare. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. A Gold Star, a Pokémon-ex and a holo Mew:

The one Supporter and a Stadium:
Legend Maker's chase card is Regirock ★, 91/92, illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, listed at $799.00 as last read on October 20, 2026.
Regice ★ was $649.98, last read on October 15, 2026, and the catalog has no price for Registeel ★. Arcanine ex, at $482.49 on October 22, 2026, is the most valuable Pokémon-ex.
Regirock ★ is printed once in the set.
Only the exact version is worth its price. The number at the bottom of the card and the rarity symbol beside it tell you which one you pulled. Reading the number and rarity symbol →
Two Gold Stars, then Arcanine ex, the secret Pikachu δ and holos, priced as holofoil copies. The prices for Regirock ★ (October 20) and Regice ★ (October 15) are the last the catalog read before October 22, 2026.
| Card | Rarity | Market price, October 22, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Regirock ★ | Rare Holo Star | $799.00 on Oct 20 |
| Regice ★ | Rare Holo Star | $649.98 on Oct 15 |
| Arcanine ex | Rare Holo EX | $482.49 |
| Pikachu δ | Rare Secret | $229.67 |
| Mew | Rare Holo | $228.32 |
| Gengar | Rare Holo | $181.15 |
These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026, except where a row gives an earlier day because the catalog had no newer price. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. One copy of every card in Legend Maker, bought as singles, cost $3,822.15 on October 22, 2026. That is the 11th most expensive of the sixteen sets in the EX series.
The three most valuable cards, Regirock ★, Regice ★ and Arcanine ex, come to $1,931.47, or 51% of the total. Without them the set costs $1,890.68. Of the 92 cards, 50 were under $2.00, together $47.33; the other 42 add up to $3,774.82.
One card had no TCGplayer price on file and isn't counted: Registeel ★.
Two cards' prices are older than October 22, 2026, because the catalog had no newer one: Regice ★ (90), $649.98 on October 15 and Regirock ★ (91), $799.00 on October 20. They are counted at that price.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, usually a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil, or a stamped promo copy where the catalog prices one lower, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
Legend Maker is not legal in Standard or Expanded as a set: Expanded starts with the Black & White series in 2011. The catalog marks one of its 93 cards as legal anyway: Rainbow Energy, in Expanded only.
That card shares its name and text with a later, legal printing, which is what makes an older copy playable. Every other card in the set is legal in neither format.
February 1, 2006. It was the 12th set of the EX series.
