Mind and Body in Riftbound

Mind and Body pairs Mind's card draw and gear with Body's big units and extra runes. It has one Legend as of October 2026, Jayce, from Vendetta.

Mind and Body is Mind (blue) with Body (orange). Gear and big units, with one Legend: Jayce. As of October 2026 it has 1 Legend: Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow.

How Mind and Body plays

The halves fix each other's weaknesses neatly. Body has little card draw and Mind has plenty; Mind's units are less efficient than other domains', and Body's are among the best. The result is a deck that can afford large units and still draw into its answers.

Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow readies a gear for 1, and once Empowered (2 Energy and 2 Power) readies two. That points the deck at gear that taps for value, and his Signature spell, Acceleration Gate, readies up to four units, gear and runes at once.

What it does well, and what it doesn't

Strengths

  • Card draw from Mind and efficient units from Body.
  • Extra runes from Body to pay for Mind's more expensive spells.
  • Gear synergies from Mind and Jayce.

Weaknesses

  • Few ways to move units: Mind lists it as a weakness.
  • One Legend as of October 2026, so every Mind and Body deck is a Jayce deck.
  • Body's spells are mostly about combat, so removal leans on Mind's -Might.

These start from what Riot's Deckbuilding Primer says each domain is good and bad at, which the guide to Riftbound's domains covers in full. A pair's Legend can shift them: a Legend that draws cards helps a pair whose domains don't.

The Mind and BodyLegend

As of October 2026, one Legend has exactly these two domains. Its ability is part of every game you play with the deck, so it shapes the pair more than any other card.

Every Riftbound Legend lists all of them by domain pair, with each one's ability and price.

Mind and Body Signature cards

Every two-domain Mind and Body card printed so far is a Signature card. Each carries one champion's tag, so it only goes in a deck whose Legend has that tag, and a deck can hold at most 3 Signature cards in total. Riftbound Signature cards explains the rule.

Cards from each domain

Most of a Mind and Body deck is single-domain cards, from either half. These show what each half brings: the first two are Mind, the last two Body.

Building a Mind and Body deck

Start with the Legend, since it decides the plan, then fill the main deck from both domains and split your 12 runes between Mind and Body. A reasonable starting point is to count the Mind and Body symbols in your costs and give more runes to the domain with more of them.

The guide to building a Riftbound deck covers the full rules. TurnZero HQ's Deck Lab marks a deck Not legal if a card or rune is outside your Legend's domains, and the decks players have published are at Riftbound decks, searchable by deck name or by a card in the deck.
