Body and Chaos in Riftbound

Body and Chaos pairs Body's big units with Chaos's movement. It puts large units on the battlefields the opponent can't defend. As of October 2026 it has four Legends, from Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed and Radiance.

Body and Chaos is Body (orange) with Chaos (purple). Big units that show up where you least want them: Miss Fortune, Sivir, Kha'Zix and Evelynn. As of October 2026 it has 4 Legends: Miss Fortune, Bounty Hunter, Sivir, Battle Mistress, Kha'Zix, Voidreaver and Evelynn, Agony's Embrace.

How Body and Chaos plays

Body brings efficient, high-Might units and the extra runes to play them early, and Chaos moves them around the board. Units that win combats are a bigger threat when they can arrive anywhere, and Chaos's ability to return and replay units gives Body a second use of its best ones.

Miss Fortune, Bounty Hunter gives a unit Ganking, so it can move from battlefield to battlefield. Sivir, Battle Mistress makes Gold when you recycle a rune and readies when enemy units die. Kha'Zix, Voidreaver gains XP from winning combats and spends it on buffs and moving units home. Radiance's Evelynn, Agony's Embrace draws when you play a card from face down.

What it does well, and what it doesn't

Strengths

  • Big units that can move to the battlefield the opponent left open.
  • Extra runes from Body and Gold from Sivir.
  • Ways to replay units from Chaos, so the best ones get used twice.

Weaknesses

  • Little card draw: Body lists it as a weakness, and Evelynn is the only one of the four Legends that draws.
  • Few ways to remove a threat for good, and Body's spells are mostly about combat.
  • Chaos's bonuses rarely last past the turn.

These start from what Riot's Deckbuilding Primer says each domain is good and bad at, which the guide to Riftbound's domains covers in full. A pair's Legend can shift them: a Legend that draws cards helps a pair whose domains don't.

The Body and ChaosLegends

As of October 2026, 4 Legends have exactly these two domains. Each one sets the same card pool, but their abilities point the deck at different plans.

Every Riftbound Legend lists all of them by domain pair, with each one's ability and price.

Body and Chaos Signature cards

Every two-domain Body and Chaos card printed so far is a Signature card. Each carries one champion's tag, so it only goes in a deck whose Legend has that tag, and a deck can hold at most 3 Signature cards in total. Riftbound Signature cards explains the rule.

Cards from each domain

Most of a Body and Chaos deck is single-domain cards, from either half. These show what each half brings: the first two are Body, the last two Chaos.

Building a Body and Chaos deck

Start with the Legend, since it decides the plan, then fill the main deck from both domains and split your 12 runes between Body and Chaos. A reasonable starting point is to count the Body and Chaos symbols in your costs and give more runes to the domain with more of them.

The guide to building a Riftbound deck covers the full rules. TurnZero HQ's Deck Lab marks a deck Not legal if a card or rune is outside your Legend's domains, and the decks players have published are at Riftbound decks, searchable by deck name or by a card in the deck.
