Blue/Purple in the One Piece TCG

Blue/Purple pairs the draw color with the DON!! color. Its Leaders turn Purple's DON!! −X costs into cards, or search for Straw Hat Crew cards once you reach a full DON!! area.

Blue/Purple is a deck led by a Blue/Purple Leader, so it can play any Blue card and any Purple card. Blue's draw with Purple's DON!!, turning DON!! −X costs into cards.

As of October 2026, Bandai has printed six Blue/Purple Leaders. Four are legal in Standard, two have rotated out with block 1.

How Blue/Purple Plays

Vinsmoke Reiju (OP06-042) draws a card the first time each of your turns a DON!! returns to your DON!! deck, which makes every Purple DON!! −X cost also a draw. Sanji (OP12-041) pays DON!! −1 to activate a 3-cost or cheaper Straw Hat Crew Event from your hand and adds a rested DON!! when he attacks if you are not ahead on DON!!.

Monkey.D.Luffy (OP11-040) is a 6000-power Leader with 3 Life. At the start of each of your turns with 8 or more DON!!, he looks at the top 5 cards and takes a Straw Hat Crew card, so Purple's ramp gets him there sooner. Bandai's list effective October 12, 2026 allows him but bars him from a deck with Charlotte Katakuri (OP11-067) or Charlotte Linlin (OP08-069).

What each color does on its own, counted from the card text, is in Blue and Purple on the colors page.

What It Does Well, and What It Doesn't

Strengths

  • Card advantage on top of ramp: Blue draws and Purple adds DON!!.
  • DON!! −X effects become cheaper when Reiju replaces them with cards.
  • Four Leaders were legal in Standard as of October 2026.

Weaknesses

  • No K.O.s from Blue's cards, so removal is bounce and Purple's DON!!-cost K.O. effects.
  • DON!! −X leaves fewer DON!! for the turn, and Luffy needs 8 on the field to search.
  • Luffy's 3 Life and the Katakuri and Linlin restriction narrow his deck.

Blue/Purple Leaders

Your Leader is the only two-color card in a Blue/Purple deck: every two-color card Bandai has printed is a Leader. These are the ones legal in Standard as of October 2026, with what each one asks of the deck.

Rotated out of Standard with block 1 on April 1, 2026, and still playable in casual games: Kaido (OP01-061), Crocodile (OP01-062).

How Leaders work, and the ones that change deckbuilding rules, is in One Piece Leader cards.

Cards Worth Knowing

The rest of the deck is single-color cards. These show what the pair's Leaders are built to use; they are examples from Standard-legal sets, not a list of the best cards.

Where to Start

No English starter deck has a Blue/Purple Leader as of October 2026, so this pair is built from booster cards. The starter deck guide lists the boxes in Blue or Purple if you want a one-color deck to start from.

To build one, pick the Leader first and fill the 50 cards in its colors; the steps are in how to build a One Piece deck. TurnZero HQ's One Piece Deck Lab flags any card that doesn't share a color with your Leader, and decks players have published are at One Piece decks, searchable by deck name or by a card in the deck.
