Green/Yellow in the One Piece TCG

Green/Yellow mixes Green's resting with Yellow's Life cards and Triggers. Its best-known Leader, Yamato, deals 2 damage per hit, and the ST-28 starter deck is built around her.

Green/Yellow is a deck led by a Green/Yellow Leader, so it can play any Green card and any Yellow card. Green's resting with Yellow's Life tricks, led by Yamato's [Double Attack].

As of October 2026, Bandai has printed four Green/Yellow Leaders. Three are legal in Standard, one has rotated out with block 1.

How Green/Yellow Plays

Yamato (OP06-022) has [Double Attack], so each hit on your opponent's Leader takes 2 Life. Once your opponent is at 3 or less Life, she gives 2 rested DON!! to one of your Characters each turn. Her deck is Land of Wano: ST-28's Ashura Doji K.O.s a 5-cost Character while your opponent has 3 or more Life, and Izo gives a Land of Wano Leader [Banish] for the turn.

The other two Leaders use Life differently. Trafalgar Law (OP10-022) returns one of your Characters to hand to reveal your top Life card and play it if it is a 5-cost or smaller Supernovas Character. Shirahoshi (OP11-022) cannot attack; she rests a DON!! and turns your top Life card face up to play a Neptunian or Megalo from hand.

What each color does on its own, counted from the card text, is in Green and Yellow on the colors page.

What It Does Well, and What It Doesn't

Strengths

  • Fast damage: [Double Attack] on Yamato takes Life two at a time.
  • Yellow's Triggers punish attacks into your Leader.
  • A beginner-friendly starter: ST-28 is rated 2 out of 5 for difficulty in our starter deck guide.

Weaknesses

  • Neither color draws much, so long games favor decks with Blue.
  • Shirahoshi cannot attack at all, so her deck wins only through Characters.
  • Face-up Life cards tell your opponent what you will draw when hit.

Green/Yellow Leaders

Your Leader is the only two-color card in a Green/Yellow deck: every two-color card Bandai has printed is a Leader. These are the ones legal in Standard as of October 2026, with what each one asks of the deck.

Rotated out of Standard with block 1 on April 1, 2026, and still playable in casual games: Arlong (OP03-022).

How Leaders work, and the ones that change deckbuilding rules, is in One Piece Leader cards.

Cards Worth Knowing

The rest of the deck is single-color cards. These show what the pair's Leaders are built to use; they are examples from Standard-legal sets, not a list of the best cards.

Where to Start

The fastest start is a starter deck with a Green/Yellow Leader: ST-28 GREEN/YELLOW Yamato (Standard legal, difficulty 2 out of 5). Each guide covers the deck as sold and the upgrades worth buying first.

To build one, pick the Leader first and fill the 50 cards in its colors; the steps are in how to build a One Piece deck. TurnZero HQ's One Piece Deck Lab flags any card that doesn't share a color with your Leader, and decks players have published are at One Piece decks, searchable by deck name or by a card in the deck.
