Delta Reign Release Date and What's in the Set

The Pokémon TCG's Mega Evolution: Delta Reign releases November 6, 2026, and prereleases start October 24. It has over 135 cards led by Mega Rayquaza ex. Here is what The Pokémon Company has announced, what you can buy, and what isn't known yet.

Five Mega Hyper Rares from the Mega Evolution series so far fanned out: Mega Charizard Y ex, Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Charizard X ex in front, Mega Greninja ex and Mega Darkrai ex.

Release and prerelease dates

Delta Reign releases on November 6, 2026, at participating stores, according to The Pokémon Company's announcement. Prerelease events come first: select Play! Pokémon Stores start selling the set's Build & Battle Box on October 24, 2026, so you can play with the cards about two weeks early.

The Pokémon Company says Delta Reign has over 135 cards, with more than 20 Trainer cards and over 35 cards with special illustrations. It is the next set in the Mega Evolution series, after 30th Celebration.

Only the Build & Battle Box's contents are on The Pokémon Company's own pages so far. ICv2 reported that Pokémon Center opened preorders for the Booster Display, Elite Trainer Box and Booster Bundle, and that the first wave sold out quickly. No prices were stated.

Playing a prerelease

At a prerelease you buy a Build & Battle Box, open its four packs, and add the best cards to the 40-card deck inside. Then you play short games against other players at the store. It is one of the friendliest events to start with, because everyone builds from the same kind of box.
