2025 Pokémon TCG Sets

The 2025 sets

Seven sets released in 2025, across two series. Prismatic Evolutions through White Flare are the last of Scarlet & Violet; Mega Evolution and Phantasmal Flames start the Mega Evolution series that the 2026 sets continue. The 2024 sets →

The last column is what one copy of every card cost as singles, each at its cheapest variant and TCGplayer market price. It shows how much value a set packs in, not what opening it returns; each guide breaks it down.

Each set's face card

Each guide covers the set's headline Pokémon ex, the Trainers worth knowing, rarity counts and the chase cards with dated prices. These are the cards each one is built around.

The chase card in each set

Every set has one card its collectors open packs for. Prismatic Evolutions' Umbreon ex is the most valuable card in any of these guides, and Journey Together's chase card is the cheapest of the year, more than $1,200 apart.

Prices are TCGplayer market prices on September 30, 2026 and move daily. Each set guide has the chase card's other versions and the rest of its chase list.

The guides

Prismatic Evolutions (January 17, 2025). The Eevee set. Every one of Eevee's eight evolutions is a Tera Pokémon ex here, each with a Special Illustration Rare, and those eight cards are the eight most valuable in the set.

Journey Together (March 28, 2025). The first Scarlet & Violet expansion with trainer's Pokémon: Pokémon named for the character who owns them, from Lillie's Clefairy ex to Hop's Zacian ex.

Destined Rivals (May 30, 2025). Team Rocket against the heroes. Destined Rivals has 90 trainer's Pokémon, the most of any set in these guides, and Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex at the top of its chase list.

Black Bolt (July 18, 2025). One half of Scarlet & Violet's Unova finale, released the same day as White Flare. Zekrom ex leads it, and half of its 172 cards are numbered above the printed total.

White Flare (July 18, 2025). The other half of Scarlet & Violet's Unova finale. Reshiram ex leads it, with Hydreigon ex and Keldeo ex, and like Black Bolt it is more secret rare than main set.

Mega Evolution (September 26, 2025). The set that started the Mega Evolution series and brought back Mega Evolution. All ten of its Double Rares are Mega Evolution ex, and Mega Lucario ex leads both the table and the chase.

Phantasmal Flames (November 14, 2025). The second Mega Evolution expansion. Mega Charizard X ex is the story of this set, at the table and in the price list, where its Special Illustration Rare stands far above everything else.

Two series in one year

The Scarlet & Violet sets of 2025 are built on Pokémon ex, worth two Prize cards when Knocked Out, and on trainer's Pokémon, named for the character who owns them. Journey Together introduced them to the series and Destined Rivals carried 90. The whole Scarlet & Violet series →

The Mega Evolution set in September changed the headline card to the Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, worth three Prize cards, and the top rarity to the gold Mega Hyper Rare. Reading the rule box on a card → The whole Mega Evolution series →
