Pokémon TCG · 2016 Set Guide
The second BREAK set, with Greninja BREAK, Trevenant BREAK and Gyarados-EX. A secret-rare Gyarados-EX leads its value. Two of its Trainers, Puzzle of Time and Delinquent, are now banned in Expanded.
BREAKpoint is the ninth XY expansion: 122 cards up to the printed total and one secret rare above it, Gyarados-EX (123).
It continued BREAK Evolution with five more, Greninja BREAK's Giant Water Shuriken among them, and printed Trainers such as Max Elixir, Fighting Fury Belt, Puzzle of Time and Delinquent. The last two are on the Expanded banned list.
BREAKpoint has 123 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "1/122", next to the set code BKP.
The printed total is 122, so only Gyarados-EX, 123/122, is a secret rare. The catalog also files three more cards under this set with a letter after the number: Delinquent (98a), Delinquent (98b) and Professor Sycamore (107a). Each is an alternate printing outside the numbered set, so they aren't counted here. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. Pokémon-EX, Mega Evolutions and Pokémon BREAK. Three of them:
Greninja BREAK
BREAKpoint #41
170 HP BREAK. Giant Water Shuriken: once during your turn, if it is your Active Pokémon, discard a Water Energy from your hand to put 6 damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokémon.
M Gyarados-EX
BREAKpoint #27
240 HP Mega Evolution. Blast Geyser does 120, plus 20 for each Water Energy on it if you discard the top 2 cards of your deck.
Trevenant BREAK
BREAKpoint #66
160 HP BREAK. Silent Fear puts 3 damage counters on each of your opponent's Pokémon.
Two Trainers from the set:

These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. How Pokémon card prices work →
One copy of every card in BREAKpoint, bought as singles, cost $1,046.18 on October 22, 2026. That is the 9th most expensive of the fifteen sets in the XY series.
The three most valuable cards, two Gyarados-EX cards and M Gyarados-EX, come to $416.25, or 40% of the total. Without them the set costs $629.93. Of the 123 cards, 92 were under $2.00, together $30.74; the other 31 add up to $1,015.44.
Left out: three alternate printings the catalog files under this set with a letter after the number, Delinquent (98a), Delinquent (98b) and Professor Sycamore (107a). They aren't part of the numbered 123.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
No BREAKpoint card carries a regulation mark, so none is Standard-legal as printed. Standard has allowed only the H, I and J marks since April 10, 2026. BREAKpoint is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on, except for Delinquent (98/122) and Puzzle of Time (109/122), on the Expanded banned list.
A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
