Pokémon TCG · 2015 Set Guide
A set built around Rayquaza, with two Rayquaza-EX, two M Rayquaza-EX and the full-art M Rayquaza-EX at the top. It also printed Shaymin-EX, now banned in Expanded.
Roaring Skies is the sixth XY expansion: 108 cards up to the printed total and two secret-rare Trainers above it, Energy Switch and VS Seeker (109 and 110).
Rayquaza is printed four ways in the main set: a Dragon Rayquaza-EX and M Rayquaza-EX, and a Colorless pair whose M Rayquaza-EX's Emerald Break counts your Benched Pokémon. Sky Field, a Stadium that lets each player have 8 Pokémon on their Bench, is printed here too, as is Shaymin-EX, whose Set Up draws you to 6 cards when it comes onto your Bench.
Roaring Skies has 110 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "1/108", next to the set code ROS.
The printed total is 108, so the 2 cards from 109 to 110 are secret rares. The catalog also files two more cards under this set with a letter after the number: Shaymin-EX (77a) and Trainers' Mail (92a). Each is an alternate printing outside the numbered set, so they aren't counted here. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. Pokémon-EX give up two Prize cards when Knocked Out. A Mega Evolution Pokémon-EX evolves from its Pokémon-EX, and evolving into one ends your turn unless a Spirit Link Tool says otherwise:
M Rayquaza-EX
Roaring Skies #76
220 HP Mega Evolution. Emerald Break does 30 for each of your Benched Pokémon.
M Rayquaza-EX
Roaring Skies #61
230 HP Mega Evolution, a Dragon. Dragon Ascent does 300 and discards 2 Energy from it.
Shaymin-EX
Roaring Skies #77
110 HP. Set Up: when you play it onto your Bench, you may draw until you have 6 cards in your hand.

These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. How Pokémon card prices work →
One copy of every card in Roaring Skies, bought as singles, cost $1,743.98 on October 22, 2026. That is the sixth most expensive of the fifteen sets in the XY series.
The three most valuable cards, two M Rayquaza-EX cards and Rayquaza-EX, come to $964.35, or 55% of the total. Without them the set costs $779.63. Of the 110 cards, 78 were under $2.00, together $36.03; the other 32 add up to $1,707.95.
Left out: two alternate printings the catalog files under this set with a letter after the number, Shaymin-EX (77a) and Trainers' Mail (92a). They aren't part of the numbered 110.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
No Roaring Skies card carries a regulation mark, so none is Standard-legal as printed. Standard has allowed only the H, I and J marks since April 10, 2026. Roaring Skies is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on, except for Shaymin-EX (77/108 and 106/108), on the Expanded banned list.
A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
