Pokémon TCG · 2015 Set Guide
A 34-card special set split between Team Aqua and Team Magma. Its two Pokémon-EX, Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX and Team Magma's Groudon-EX, are printed only as full arts and hold almost all of its value.
Double Crisis came out between Primal Clash and Roaring Skies as a special set rather than a main expansion. All 34 cards are within the printed total, and nearly every one belongs to Team Aqua or Team Magma: their Pokémon, their Supporters, a Great Ball and a Secret Base Stadium for each side, and a Double Energy for each.
Its two Pokémon-EX share an Ability, Power Saver, that stops them attacking unless you have 5 or more Pokémon of their team in play. Together they make up most of what the set costs.
Double Crisis has 34 cards. Every card shows its number over the printed total along the bottom, as in "1/34", next to the set code DCR.
Every card is numbered within the printed total of 34, so Double Crisis has no secret rares. Set completion in TurnZero HQ counts a set against its printed total and keeps the secret rares apart, so finishing the main set and chasing the cards above it read as two separate goals. The two Pokémon-EX, and a Team Aqua Stage 2:
Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX
Double Crisis #6
190 HP. Power Saver: it can't attack if you have 4 or fewer Team Aqua Pokémon in play. Aqua Impact does 80 plus 20 for each Colorless in the Defending Pokémon's Retreat Cost.
Team Magma's Groudon-EX
Double Crisis #15
190 HP. Power Saver: it can't attack if you have 4 or fewer Team Magma Pokémon in play. Magma Quake does 80, or 160 if the Defending Pokémon is damaged.
Team Aqua's Sharpedo
Double Crisis #21
90 HP Stage 1. Aqua Search: once during your turn, search your deck for a Team Aqua Pokémon. Sharp Fang does 70.
Each team's Great Ball:
Double Crisis' chase card is Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX, numbered 6/34, a Rare Ultra, illustrated by nagimiso, at $645.09 on October 22, 2026.
The Rare Ultra Team Magma's Groudon-EX (15/34) was second at $478.87 and the Uncommon Team Magma's Great Ball (31/34) third at $13.17.
Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX is printed only once in Double Crisis, here.
Only the exact version is worth its price. The number at the bottom of the card and the rarity symbol beside it tell you which one you pulled. Reading the number and rarity symbol →
The two full-art Pokémon-EX are far ahead. Team Magma's Great Ball is the next card, at $13.17.

These are each card's headline TCGplayer market price on October 22, 2026. Prices can move a long way, most of all in a set's first months, so treat them as a snapshot. Each card's page shows today's price for every variant and its 90-day chart. How Pokémon card prices work →
One copy of every card in Double Crisis, bought as singles, cost $1,197.14 on October 22, 2026. That is the 8th most expensive of the fifteen sets in the XY series.
The three most valuable cards, Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX, Team Magma's Groudon-EX and Team Magma's Great Ball, come to $1,137.13, or 95% of the total. Without them the set costs $60.01. Of the 34 cards, 18 were under $2.00, together $19.12; the other 16 add up to $1,178.02.
Each card is counted at its cheapest priced variant, a Normal copy rather than a Reverse Holofoil where both exist, at its TCGplayer market price. This is what it costs to buy the set as singles. It is not what opening packs returns, and not what a complete set would sell for, which after fees and the many cards worth cents would be noticeably less.
No Double Crisis card carries a regulation mark, so none is Standard-legal as printed. Standard has allowed only the H, I and J marks since April 10, 2026. Every card in Double Crisis is legal in Expanded, which takes every set from Black & White on.
A reprint with a legal mark makes older printings of the same card legal again, so check a card's name before you rule it out.
