Umbreon ex is a Stage 1 that evolves from Eevee. Its Lunatic Claw costs one Darkness and one other Energy and does 100 damage, plus 140 more if your opponent's Active Pokémon already has damage counters on it. So the deck's job is to put any damage on the Active Pokémon first, then let Umbreon hit it for 240.
In the Japanese list, Zeraora, Toxtricity and a Deino line are the other attackers, and Boss's Orders, Judge and Crushing Hammer are the interaction. The promo Zeraora's Electrobullet does 50 to the Active Pokémon and 20 to a Benched one, which is exactly the kind of first hit Lunatic Claw wants. It is built as a learn-to-play deck: two-Energy attacks and few decisions per turn.
On October 6, 2026 the Umbreon deck's TCGplayer preorder price was about $69, against Espeon's $45, which is the main reason it leads this list.
The headline Pokémon ex are 30th Celebration cards with the J mark, so they are Standard legal. The English decklist has not been published as of October 10, 2026; this guide describes the Japanese version, released September 16, 2026, which shares the same promos and is expected to match. Check the box list when it arrives before buying singles to replace anything.
Every upgrade card below carries an H, I or J regulation mark, the marks legal in Standard since the April 10, 2026 rotation, checked against our Pokémon card catalog on October 10, 2026. Basic Energy is always legal. See which cards are legal in each format for how regulation marks and reprints decide it.
Everything that puts a damage counter on the Active Pokémon before Umbreon attacks is worth 140 damage. Munkidori is the best fit: while it has a Darkness Energy attached, Adrena-Brain moves up to 3 damage counters from one of your Pokémon to one of your opponent's, once a turn. That both heals your Pokémon and switches on Lunatic Claw.
Dusknoir's Cursed Blast places 13 damage counters on one Pokémon (Dusknoir is Knocked Out), which either Knocks Out a smaller Pokémon or leaves a big one in range of Lunatic Claw.
Munkidori
Ascended Heroes #99
