What it does
Flying
Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, exile the top seven cards of that player's library, then put a creature card from among them onto the battlefield under your control.
Rulings
One official ruling, as Wizards published it.
- 2013-01-24
Lord of the Void’s ability isn’t optional. If there is a creature card among the seven cards you exiled, you must put one onto the battlefield under your control.
Rulings are Wizards of the Coast's own, mirrored from Scryfall and refreshed nightly.

Aggregated from Commander games tracked in TurnZero HQ. Every figure counts decks and games only. No individual deck list, player or playgroup is identified. Win rates are withheld below 5 completed games, where the sample is too small to mean anything.
